FINANCIAL AID

Eligibility

Our financial aid program is strictly needs-based - funding is provided to students/families for the following reasons:

How It Works

Step 1: Submit application to join TKS

Once the student has submitted their basic information, they can select an option to apply for financial aid.

Step 2: Apply for financial aid

Student and guardian will receive email instructions on the financial aid process and submit the required documents (see below).

Step 3: Review and approval

The financial aid request will be reviewed. If approved, you will be provided financial support to reduce your tuition fee.

Our Financial Aid Team assesses the application based on a scoring rubric that ensures that the applications are reviewed fairly across all students applying for financial aid. Funds are limited and granted on a rolling basis. Access to financial support is more likely for students who apply earlier to join TKS.

How It Works

Once the student has applied to TKS, they can view the available scholarships and determine which aligns most with their goals/experience.

Step 2: Apply for a scholarship

Student will receive email instructions on how to submit (instructions will vary depending on the selected scholarship).

Step 3: Review and approval

The scholarship submission will be reviewed. If approved, you will be provided with a scholarship to reduce your tuition fee.

Our Program team and founders assess each scholarship submission based on the depth and quality of the project, as well as the above-mentioned values. Scholarships are limited in quantity and will be available until the posted deadline for each (or until all available scholarships have been granted).

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are questions we usually get about our Financial Aid & Scholarships.

ℹ️ How much financial aid does TKS offer? Based on our team's review of your application, they will offer needs-based tuition support that covers up to 100% of the total tuition in exceptional circumstances. There is no predetermined amount - grants are determined based on your family's unique financial circumstances.

ℹ️ Will applying for financial aid affect my chances of being accepted? No - the TKS application process is need-blind, which means you’re accepted into TKS based on your ambition and curiosity. Your application for financial aid is fully independent of acceptance.

ℹ️ Can I apply for financial aid or a scholarship after I’ve enrolled? By confirming enrolment, the student and parent are agreeing to the communicated tuition amount. For this reason, we ask that you apply for any tuition support before securing your place in the program. Excluding extreme circumstances, our team will not grant any tuition support once enrolment is confirmed.

ℹ️ Are there any support options outside of financial aid? For students whose families do not qualify for financial aid, we do provide merit-based scholarships which students can apply for. Please see above for more information.

ℹ️ Can I receive both financial aid and a scholarship? No - in order to keep the process fair and equitable for all students, any recipient of financial aid would be disqualified from receiving a scholarship, and vice versa. If you receive financial aid, and it is insufficient, you may apply for a scholarship, but would lose your existing financial aid offer by doing so.

ℹ️ Is there a refund policy if I need to drop out of the program? Yes - we understand that situations can change. If you join TKS and during the year would like to withdraw your enrolment, you may be eligible to receive a partial refund, dependent on your payment plan. We’ve created guidelines around our refund policy, which will be outlined in our terms & conditions to be sent out upon program acceptance.

ℹ️ What payment methods are available once we’ve been assessed for financial aid? Payment can be made in two ways:

  1. Single Payment: Tuition can be paid in full up front (with a $500 discount for doing so).

Please note that the $500 single payment discount does not apply to recipients of financial aid.

  2. Monthly Payments: 10 monthly instalments (with a non-refundable deposit).

We accept payment via credit card, debit card, and pre authorized bank transfers. If this will be an issue, please contact us for alternative methods.
