Overview

At The Knowledge Society (TKS), we are committed to making our program accessible to curious and ambitious young people, regardless of their financial situation. In 2023, we provided $2,500,000 in financial aid to our students from over 62 cities worldwide.

Financial aid is typically provided to families for the following reasons:

• Low household income
• Jobs loss or reductions
• Unexpected expenses such as medical bills
• Large families with many dependents

Students apply for financial aid independent of being accepted into the program. We do this to provide a needs-blind experience throughout our application process so every student can go through the process equally.

Eligibility

<aside> 💲 Household Limitations For students whose families have limited income and would have a difficult time paying for their full TKS tuition.

Details

1. Submit household proof of income validated by a third-party source for 2023. Examples include T4s in Canada, W-2s in the US, pay stubs, and bank statements.
2. Families will also be asked to share their household's demographics, including employment details, marital status, etc.

<aside> ⚠️ Special Circumstances For students whose families have endured unique circumstances that would make paying for TKS tuition difficult.

1. Families will be asked to outline their unique circumstances and explain why TKS tuition would cause an undue burden on their families.
2. Families will also be asked to share their household’s demographic details and submit documentation with third-party validation of the household's proof of income.

How It Works

Step 1: Submit application to join TKS

Once the student has submitted their basic information, they can select an option to apply for financial aid.

Step 2: Apply for financial aid

Student and guardian will receive email instructions on the financial aid process and submit the required documents (see below).

Step 3: Review and approval

The financial aid request will be reviewed. If approved, you will be provided financial support to reduce your tuition fee.

Our Financial Aid Team assesses the application based on a scoring rubric that ensures that the applications are reviewed fairly across all students applying for financial aid. Funds are limited and granted on a rolling basis. Access to financial support is more likely for students who apply earlier to join TKS.

Once a student completes their application into TKS, parents or guardians will be asked to submit the following information:
