Overview

At The Knowledge Society (TKS), we are committed to making our program accessible to curious and ambitious young people, regardless of their financial situation. In 2023, we provided over $2,000,000 in financial aid to our students from over 62 cities worldwide.

Financial aid is typically provided to families for the following reasons:

• Low household income
• Jobs loss or reductions
• Unexpected expenses such as medical bills
• Large families with many dependents

Eligibility

<aside> 💲 Financial Aid For students whose families have limited income and would have a difficult time paying for their full TKS tuition.

Details

1. Submit household proof of income validated by a third-party source for 2021, 2022 and 2023. Examples include T4s in Canada, W2s in the US, pay stubs, and bank statements.
2. Families will also be asked to share their household and guardian's demographics, including employment details, marital status, etc.

<aside> ⚠️ Special Circumstances For students whose families have endured unique circumstances that would make paying for TKS tuition difficult.

Details

1. Families will be asked to outline their unique circumstances and explain why TKS tuition would cause an undue burden on their families.
2. Families will also be asked to share their household and guardian's demographic details and submit documentation with third-party validation of the household's proof of income.

How It Works

Step 1: Receive acceptance to join TKS

Once the student has been accepted into TKS, they can select an option to apply for financial aid.

Step 2: Submit your financial aid application

Parents or guardians will receive instructions on the financial aid process in the acceptance email and submit the required documents (see below).

Step 3: Approval and payment

If your request is approved, you will be provided financial support to reduce your tuition fee. We'll then send you a special link to complete your enrolment.

Our Financial Aid Team assesses the application based on a scoring rubric that ensures that the applications are reviewed fairly across all students applying for financial aid. Funds are limited and granted on a rolling basis. Access to financial support is more likely for students who apply earlier to join TKS.

Once a student is accepted into TKS, parents or guardians will be asked to submit the following information:
